The Vaughan Community Health Centre—a member-agency of the Vaughan Health Campus of Care—is a new, not-for-profit, community-governed organization.

The VCHC provides primary healthcare, social services and illness prevention programs to the residents of the City of Vaughan. In particular, we serve those who are having problems accessing healthcare services due to culture, language, age, chronic illness, or the like. Although we serve everyone, our main focus is youth, seniors and people with mental health and addiction issues.

Our services are provided in different languages within a safe, accessible and comfortable environment. In order to ensure continuity of care, our registered clients cannot receive primary health care elsewhere. Thus, we are not a walk-in clinic.

We recognize that health is more than just the absence of illness or disease. Consequently, as part of the health promotion framework of our services, we work in partnership with other community-based health and social service organizations to address individual, family and community needs.

Our team—including physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, dietitians, community health workers, a health promoter, a social worker, a physiotherapist and a chiropodist—provides Vaughan with a wide range of healthcare services. In addition, our health promotion team focuses on community initiatives, working to maintain and improve the health of our clients, their families and Vaughan’s diverse communities.
