What is Wraparound/Vaughan?

Wraparound Vaughan is an informal community based resource center assisting families with complex needs. Our ‘pillars’ of the community, can consist of business partners, professionals, formal social service providers or anyone who believes in giving back to the marginalized of our community.
When ‘broken’ families become overwhelmed with challenges, finding solutions and prioritizing their needs can be an elusive process. Wraparound helps them to identify their goals, strengths and resources, enabling the family to feel good about themselves, regardless of their circumstances. Knowing that they have a voice in the choices they make and that support is only a phone call away, is the first step in regaining one’s dignity.
Wraparound will assist all families, individuals from all walks of life with basic needs, resources, and ongoing support. The criteria for Wraparound is that families have had very little success with formal social service providers, have a history of hospitalization, incarceration and are looking for grassroots assistance.

The Community Resource Team meets the first Tuesday of every month from 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm (September - June) @ 51 Chavender Place, Woodbridge. We are looking for volunteers, facilitators who will be, professionally trained, and business partnerships who would be willing to provide services, essential needs, and/or financial contributions.
